Incredible Hulk
I did not see this movie in the theater, but wish I had as I imagine it would have been all the better. I enjoyed Edward Norton and Liv Tyler very much in their roles as Betty Ross and Bruce Banner, or the Incredible Hulk. We watched it really to get a full heads up on one of the many characters in the Avengers Movie. A few in our family really wanted to see it, but all had not seen all the movies. So off we went to rent the Incredible Hulk.
It indeed was neat to see more of the history in regards to understanding the Hulk in the Avengers. Granted, it was a different actor but didn't seem to be much of a problem.
Bruce Banner is living with a tough condition for which he is trying to find a cure. His condition arose after the events surrounding the Gamma Bomb, and causes his body to turn into a giant green monster of sorts. It is triggered by anger and any kind of deeper emotional stress.
The basic plot shows the military trying to capture him, right when Bruce was close to a cure, go figure!
I immediately recognized the actor from a show which I loved called "Lie To Me," which surprised me. He is quite the villain and a different kind of monster that is working with the military to capture the Hulk. I really enjoy the actor Tim Roth, who plays a rather bad character, Emil Blonsky. I enjoyed him very much in Lie To Me, and all his mannerisms and accent, etc. Another name for his role here is "The Abomination," yikes! Indeed it was pretty awful.
Bruce Banner is searching high and low for a cure or antidote for his condition, and basically hiding out while doing so. What was most interesting is the unanswered question of what happened to that other scientist, played by Tim Blake Nelson, another absolute favorite actor, who also also exhibited a dose of the same thing. It left off leaving him kind of smiling or laughing as he began to realize things might change for him. It could be the beginning of a whole new plot of course! Who knows what the future holds.
What a great cast, really! I love Liv Tyler in the right roles, Tim Roth, and Tim Blake Nelson and more, wow how fun! Tim Blake Nelson became a favorite of ours when he played the human weapon in another show called Chaos. At any rate, I recommend this movie, as it was a lot of fun. For the character that played the Hulk, Edward Norton was a great pick I think.
